Random thought, I relocated for work and Poverty rate is 4.4%, which is pretty low. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. I love the pace of life here. Compared to Boston it's decent.

As someone who grew up here, I have mixed feelings honestly. A lot has changed in the past few years though. public transit used to be much stable but now it's average.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.
I've been here 3 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the nightlife is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is surprisingly good.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Sunset side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
