Cost of living reality check -Vail

Alright, I'm retired and Poverty rate is 3.7%, which is pretty low. It's a a small town city with about 15,722 people. The city has invested a lot in new development. What do you all think? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

I work in tech here and it was the best decision I ever made. The job market for my field is challenging. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a data analyst who relocated here from Baltimore about 7 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Active local events and festivals

Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are reasonable, gas is underrated.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Definitely worth checking out..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I have mixed feelings honestly. Internet is better than expected in most areas.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a teacher who relocated here from New York about 4 years ago. The main reasons were family and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Affordable housing options
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are competitive, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Feel free to reach out with questions..
