Just moved to Valdosta, any tips?

Random thought, I'm a remote worker and Crime rate is something to consider -Valdosta sits at 323.6 per 100K. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Thoughts? The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Compared to Minneapolis it's hit or miss.

My experience has been mostly positive. I genuinely enjoy living here. The only thing I'd watch out for is food scene. Other than that, No regrets on my end..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. the quality of life is solid. Internet is improving in most areas.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are hit or miss, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
