Best kept secrets of Valle Vista, CA

Hey folks, I grew up here but left for a while. Household incomes average around $61,799 in Valle Vista. You can expect to pay around $1,666 for rent here. The city has invested a lot in new development. Let me know your thoughts. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is traffic. I genuinely enjoy living here. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've been living here for 2 years and I'd say I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The housing market is better than expected compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value cultural scene, you'll love it. The job market is genuinely decent and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. My neighborhood (Sunset) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Portland, be prepared for the culture shock. weather is completely different here. And Winters are long and cold.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
