Working remotely from Vallejo — my experience

I've been working remotely from Vallejo for 2 years now. Here's my take:

The pace of life here is perfect for remote work. No crazy commute stress, affordable living, and enough amenities to not feel isolated.

Cost of living: a bit high but manageable
Internet: Decent, getting better with new providers
Coworking spaces: Limited but the library works in a pinch

If you're looking for a place to WFH, Vallejo is a solid choice.

Public transit needs work but they're investing in it. Should improve in next few years.

I've lived in University District for 8 years and it's a hidden gem honestly.

Good summary. I'd rate it higher personally — maybe 7/10.

I'd add that the parks here are amazing for families. Otherwise spot on!

Check out the Southside area. Way more affordable and still close to everything.

Been here 20 years. The city has changed a lot but overall for the better.

Great post! One thing I'd mention is drive around neighborhoods at different times before committing. Makes a big difference.

As someone who moved here from Dallas, I can confirm most of this. The job opportunities surprised me the most.
