Just moved here 16 months ago and The unemployment rate is 2.0%, which is pretty low. Average temperature is around 63--F, so the weather is moderate. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Am I wrong here? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is healthcare. it's exactly what I was looking for. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've lived in Meadowbrook for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Pittsburgh, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The job market scene is underrated
The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for singles. Definitely worth checking out..
