Curious what people think. I've been here for 12 years and Poverty rate is 9.1%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $1,163/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 63--F, so the weather is moderate. With a population of 10,303, Valley Center is a small town. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Thoughts? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.
