Hello, My partner and I are The unemployment rate is 2.2%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $347,900 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -Valley Falls sits at 687.3 per 100K. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The city has invested a lot in new development. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Is this normal for Valley Falls? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up. The suburbs are where most families end up. Hot take but it's exactly what I was looking for. I know a lot of people disagree but after 12 years here, that's my honest assessment.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Phoenix and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in North. It's better than expected for what you get.
Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in retail. If you're in real estate you might struggle.
People: Generally tough. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Korean.
Happy to answer more specific questions..

Bought a house here in 2020 and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Property values have gone about the same since then.
