Things Valley Park needs to improve

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a remote worker and Median household income is $64,470, which feels about average for the area. Homes are going for about $232,900 on average. Rent is about $1,343/month for a decent place. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Thanks for reading. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a data analyst who relocated here from New York about 2 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Active local events and festivals
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are developing, gas is pretty good.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Definitely worth checking out..
