Internet providers in Valley Stream?

Longtime lurker here, Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winters. Crime rate is something to consider -Valley Stream sits at 119.0 per 100K. Median household income is $127,426, which feels pretty solid for the area. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. Any advice would be great. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want weather, then yeah this place is great. But if nightlife matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

My experience has been mostly positive. it exceeded my expectations. The only thing I'd watch out for is cultural scene. Other than that, Definitely worth checking out..

Weather-wise, the summers are tough and winters are competitive. You get used to it after the first year.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a HR manager who relocated here from San Diego about 3 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Strong job market in several industries

Cons that are real:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are manageable, gas is average.

Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a data analyst who relocated here from Boston about 1 years ago. The main reasons were family and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Good healthcare facilities
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are affordable, gas is pretty good.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Hot take but it's been a really good experience overall. I know a lot of people disagree but after 15 years here, that's my honest assessment.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are decent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I'm a electrician and I've found it's exactly what I was looking for. The community is average and there's always something going on.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Definitely worth checking out..
