Worst things about Valrico nobody talks about

Longtime lurker here, Crime rate is something to consider -Valrico sits at 464.0 per 100K. Homes are going for about $356,200 on average. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 11 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Lakewood side vs the Meadowbrook side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
