I'm a physical therapist and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. The community is solid and there's always something going on.

I've been living here for 11 years and I'd say I have mixed feelings honestly. The traffic is surprisingly good compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Weather-wise, the summers are underrated and winters are reasonable. You get used to it after the first year.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value food scene, you'll love it. The public transit is genuinely improving and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. My neighborhood (Uptown) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from New York, be prepared for the culture shock. outdoor recreation is completely different here. And Limited entertainment options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Came here for cost of living and stayed because I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The dating scene is honestly average and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

We moved here with our family and I genuinely enjoy living here. Schools in Maple Ridge area are underrated. Kids love it here.
