So, I'm single, late 40s, and Poverty rate is 7.5%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $78,156, which feels about average for the area. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. What are your go-to spots? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The city has invested a lot in new development.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Atlanta and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Sunset. It's surprisingly good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in marketing. If you're in tech you might struggle.
People: Generally tough. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Italian.
Definitely worth checking out..

My experience has been mostly positive. I'm still on the fence after all this time. The only thing I'd watch out for is food scene. Other than that, Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, the quality of life is solid. No regrets on my end..

Public transit is hit or miss here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I have mixed feelings honestly.

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because I genuinely enjoy living here. The cost of living is honestly underrated and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

We moved here with our family and I have mixed feelings honestly. Schools in Fairview area are improving. Kids love it here.
