Vandalia vs Charlotte -which is better?

Hey, I'm a teacher here and Median household income is $76,290, which feels about average for the area. The median home value here is around $186,500, which is actually reasonable. Homes are going for about $186,500 on average. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Would love some local perspective. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development. The city has invested a lot in new development. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

I work in consulting here and the quality of life is solid. The job market for my field is challenging. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Public transit is tough here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I have mixed feelings honestly. Internet is underrated in most areas.
