Vassar in the winter -how bad?

Longtime lurker here, We're a young couple and It's a a small town city with about 2,704 people. Household incomes average around $61,827 in Vassar. The median home value here is around $134,600, which is actually reasonable. Median household income is $61,827, which feels about average for the area. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I've lived in Meadowbrook for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Salt Lake City, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Strong job market in several industries
- The pet-friendliness scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Can feel isolated
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for singles. Definitely worth checking out..

Weather-wise, the summers are better than expected and winters are growing. You get used to it after the first year.
