Moving to Venice with kids -good idea?

Hey, Been living here since 2011. With a population of 26,467, Venice is a smaller city. Average temperature is around 74--F, so it's warm year-round. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from LA and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Greenfield. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in legal. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Italian.

Feel free to reach out with questions..
