Alright, I grew up here but left for a while. Average temperature is around 65--F, so the weather is moderate. Homes are going for about $253,500 on average. It's a a small town city with about 5,874 people. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Used to live on the Westside side, now on the Riverside side. Completely different vibe. it's not perfect but it works for me.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it was the best decision I ever made. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Miami, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Decent public transit for the size
- The cost of living scene is improving
The downsides:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Homeless population growing downtown
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for remote workers. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

- Far from beaches/mountains
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for retirees. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
