Planning a move to Venus -neighborhoods?

Anyone else feel this way? You can expect to pay around $2,042 for rent here. Average temperature is around 65--F, so the weather is moderate. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Is this normal for Venus? Appreciate any input.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Dallas and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Fairview. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in government. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Italian.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I've lived in Riverside for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Phoenix, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Lots of new development happening
- The cultural scene scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Not very walkable outside downtown

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for couples. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
