The good and bad of living in Verde Village

First post here. I'm a remote worker and The median home value here is around $329,300, which seems about average. You can expect to pay around $1,154 for rent here. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Any advice would be great. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

As someone who grew up here, it's not perfect but it works for me. A lot has changed in the past few years though. school system used to be much established but now it's improving.

I've lived in Midtown for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Boston, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good schools in most areas
- The job market scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Can feel isolated

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for retirees. Definitely worth checking out..

Used to live on the Oak Park side, now on the Midtown side. Completely different vibe. I have mixed feelings honestly.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Compared to Minneapolis it's average.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Greenfield. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in construction. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Hope this helps!.
