Hey everyone, Just moved here 6 months ago and With a population of 11,800, Vermillion is a small town. Rent is about $728/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 7.0%, which is concerning. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Would love some local perspective. Thanks! It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good.
