Best neighborhoods to rent in Vernal?

Random thought, I've been here for 13 years and Homes are going for about $234,200 on average. The median home value here is around $234,200, which is actually reasonable. Rent is about $900/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 15.1%, which is higher than I expected. Household incomes average around $59,178 in Vernal. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Pros:
- Nice parks and trails
- Diverse community
- Good healthcare facilities

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Limited nightlife
- Far from major airports
- Limited cultural events
- Not enough green space
Would love some local perspective. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a chef who relocated here from Dallas about 7 years ago. The main reasons were work and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Strong job market in several industries

Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Chain restaurants dominate

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are stable, gas is underrated.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Feel free to reach out with questions..
