Hello, We have two kids and Household incomes average around $59,178 in Vernal. You can expect to pay around $900 for rent here. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Let me know your thoughts.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, the quality of life is solid. Hope this helps!.

We moved here with our family and it's not perfect but it works for me. Schools in Pine Hills area are solid. Kids love it here.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from Tampa and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Maple Ridge. It's tough for what you get.
Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in legal. If you're in retail you might struggle.
People: Generally decent. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.
Good luck with whatever you decide..

Weather-wise, the summers are challenging and winters are affordable. You get used to it after the first year.

I've been living here for 15 years and I'd say it's been a really good experience overall. The outdoor recreation is improving compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..
