Raising a family in Victor -thoughts?

Hey everyone, I work in insurance and Median household income is $73,664, which feels about average for the area. You can expect to pay around $1,210 for rent here. Poverty rate is 7.2%, which is pretty low. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is food scene. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've lived in East for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Dallas, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Decent public transit for the size
- The nightlife scene is average

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for couples. Hope this helps!.
