Considering Victorville vs Baltimore — help me decide

OK so I relocated for work and Median household income is $70,663, which feels about average for the area. Crime rate is something to consider — Victorville sits at 802.7 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 6.6%, which is concerning. You can expect to pay around $1,568 for rent here. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Boston about 6 years ago. The main reasons were weather and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are reasonable, gas is average.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
