Vienna in the winter -how bad?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a teacher here and Rent is about $2,430/month for a decent place. Median household income is $223,571, which feels pretty solid for the area. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The weather takes some getting used to. What are your go-to spots? The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say it's improved dramatically in recent years. The community vibe is excellent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Minneapolis and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Oak Park. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in government. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Thai.

Happy to answer more specific questions..
