Relocating to Villa Rica, GA -pros and cons?

Alright, Poverty rate is 7.1%, which is pretty low. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

We moved here with our family and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Schools in Fairview area are underrated. Kids love it here.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 4 years and it's exactly what I was looking for. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the housing market is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Maple Ridge side vs the Fairview side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

My experience has been mostly positive. it's been a really good experience overall. The only thing I'd watch out for is cultural scene. Other than that, Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from Baltimore about 4 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good schools in most areas
- Active local events and festivals

Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are competitive, gas is improving.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Happy to answer more specific questions..
