Moving to Village St. George for work -advice?
It's a a small town city with about 8,880 people. Am I overthinking this?

Came here for cost of living and stayed because it's exactly what I was looking for. The job market is honestly pretty good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

As someone who grew up here, I have mixed feelings honestly. A lot has changed in the past few years though. healthcare used to be much wild but now it's tough.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from San Francisco about 1 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and weather.
Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Strong job market in several industries
Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Homeless population growing downtown
Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are affordable, gas is excellent.
Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
