It's a a small town city with about 15,151 people. The unemployment rate is 3.9%, which is pretty low. With a population of 15,151, Vincent is a small town. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Is this normal for Vincent? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in South for 15 years. Moved from Nashville for retirement. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is underrated. We bought in 2023 at k and it's now worth up a bit than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.
**Employment:**
construction is strong here. healthcare is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are affordable for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
it was the best decision I ever made. The outdoor scene is solid - we have biking trails within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. South schools are hit or miss. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Property taxes are high. Limited entertainment options. And school system can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For remote workers, I'd say this is a 5/10. Good luck with whatever you decide.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. it's not perfect but it works for me. Compared to Phoenix it's tough.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a data analyst who relocated here from Boston about 8 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and a job opportunity.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Decent public transit for the size
- Good internet infrastructure
Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are established, gas is underrated.
Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
