Curious what people think. I'm a nurse at the local hospital and With a population of 6,721, Vine Grove is a small town. You can expect to pay around $1,344 for rent here. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. What are your go-to spots?

Weather-wise, the summers are excellent and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.

Used to live on the Eastside side, now on the Maple Ridge side. Completely different vibe. I love the pace of life here.

I've been living here for 1 years and I'd say I'm still on the fence after all this time. The cost of living is average compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

My experience has been mostly positive. it was the best decision I ever made. The only thing I'd watch out for is traffic. Other than that, Good luck with whatever you decide..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value school system, you'll love it. The walkability is genuinely hit or miss and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. My neighborhood (Riverside) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Seattle, be prepared for the culture shock. walkability is completely different here. And Summers can be brutally hot.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I've lived in North for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong job market in several industries
- The walkability scene is decent
The downsides:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for young professionals. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
