Affordable areas near Vineland?

Anyone else feel this way? Homes are going for about $218,200 on average. The median home value here is around $218,200, which is actually reasonable. The city has invested a lot in new development. Am I wrong here? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's not perfect but it works for me. Internet is hit or miss in most areas.

Public transit is surprisingly good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. the quality of life is solid.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a accountant who relocated here from Houston about 10 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Not very walkable outside downtown

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are reasonable, gas is decent.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Definitely worth checking out..
