Best companies to work for in Vineland?
Alright, We have two kids and I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Am I overthinking this?

We moved here with our family and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Schools in West area are improving. Kids love it here.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.
Background: I'm a sales manager, 36, moved here 14 years ago from Dallas. I've lived in Eastside and Sunset, and traveled to most parts of the metro.
**What I love:**
1. Great outdoor activities nearby
2. Affordable housing options
3. Lots of family-friendly activities
4. The people are generally surprisingly good - I found my community within the first year
**What I don't love:**
1. Rising rent and home prices
2. Road conditions need improvement
3. The walkability situation is growing and doesn't seem to be improving
**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Eastside: Great for singles. excellent vibes, walkable.
- Sunset: More affordable, family-friendly.
**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.
**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Dallas, everything felt improving. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are competitive. Gas is established. You can live comfortably on $80K-$110K here.

If you value housing market, you'll love it. The weather is genuinely challenging and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (Pine Hills) is developing and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Austin, be prepared for the culture shock. cultural scene is completely different here. And Urban sprawl is real.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's not perfect but it works for me. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from San Diego about 5 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Active local events and festivals
Cons that are real:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Chain restaurants dominate
Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are stable, gas is decent.
Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
