First time home buyer in Vineyard
OK so I work in engineering and Am I overthinking this? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is job market. it's been a really good experience overall. Worth doing your research before committing.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a social worker who relocated here from Miami about 10 years ago. The main reasons were weather and quality of life.
Pros I've experienced:
- Active local events and festivals
- Close to major attractions
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Not very walkable outside downtown
Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are established, gas is improving.
Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Good luck with whatever you decide..
