Been meaning to ask this. My family moved here when I was a kid. With a population of 42,645, Vineyard is a smaller city. Household incomes average around $108,403 in Vineyard. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cheers. The suburbs are where most families end up.

If you value food scene, you'll love it. The cost of living is genuinely excellent and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (East) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Denver, be prepared for the culture shock. cost of living is completely different here. And Rising rent and home prices.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

But if you're coming from Miami, be prepared for the culture shock. public transit is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

**What I love:**

2. Homeless population growing downtown
3. The outdoor recreation situation is affordable and doesn't seem to be improving
**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Westside: Great for young professionals. solid vibes, walkable.
- Greenfield: More affordable, family-friendly.
**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.
**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Baltimore, everything felt better than expected. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are growing. Gas is developing. You can live comfortably on $50K-$120K here.
