Couple moving to Vineyard Haven from out of state

First post here. I'm a nurse at the local hospital and With a population of 2,672, Vineyard Haven is a small town. The unemployment rate is 0.7%, which is pretty low. You can expect to pay around $1,379 for rent here. Crime rate is something to consider -Vineyard Haven sits at 355.8 per 100K. The median home value here is around $815,000, which is pretty steep. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.
