Alright, Just moved here 8 months ago and Median household income is $91,308, which feels pretty solid for the area. Rent is about $1,761/month for a decent place. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Has anyone dealt with this? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Portland and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Highland. It's excellent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in consulting. If you're in legal you might struggle.
People: Generally solid. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: solid. Tons of options if you like seafood.
Definitely worth checking out..

The food scene here is tough. Tons of great farm-to-table places. it was the best decision I ever made.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want safety, then yeah this place is great. But if dating scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is school system. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Worth doing your research before committing.

We moved here with our family and I genuinely enjoy living here. Schools in Fairview area are underrated. Kids love it here.
