Hey, Just moved here 12 months ago and Household incomes average around $90,685 in Virginia Beach. Homes are going for about $366,300 on average. You can expect to pay around $1,649 for rent here. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Should I be concerned? Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.
