Virginia Beach is underrated, change my mind

I keep seeing people overlook Virginia Beach when talking about great places to live. With a population of 457,066, it's big enough to have everything you need but small enough to feel like a community. Cost of living is reasonable for what you get. Weather is moderate — about 62F average.

Good summary. I'd rate it higher personally — maybe 7/10.

Don't sleep on Downtown. It's up and coming and still affordable.

The job market has been improving lately. Several finance companies moved in recently.

Coming from Denver, the cost of living difference is noticeable. Groceries and gas are slightly more expensive but housing makes up for it.

Great post! One thing I'd mention is drive around neighborhoods at different times before committing. Makes a big difference.
