Career opportunities in Visalia, CA

I grew up here but left for a while. Poverty rate is 8.8%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $1,397/month for a decent place. Crime rate is something to consider — Visalia sits at 434.2 per 100K. Homes are going for about $340,600 on average. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Has anyone dealt with this? The suburbs are where most families end up. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Used to live on the Springfield side, now on the The Heights side. Completely different vibe. I genuinely enjoy living here.
