Visalia job market vs Sacramento

First post here. The unemployment rate is 3.8%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $79,952 in Visalia. Rent is about $1,397/month for a decent place. Median household income is $79,952, which feels about average for the area. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Thanks in advance! The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. the quality of life is solid. Compared to New York it's tough.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 3 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is cost of living. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The West side vs the Uptown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
