Visalia vs Denver — which is better?

I'm retired and Household incomes average around $79,952 in Visalia. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Worth the trade-offs?

Hot take but it's not perfect but it works for me. I know a lot of people disagree but after 5 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value outdoor recreation, you'll love it. The job market is genuinely hit or miss and I've found it exceeded my expectations. My neighborhood (Maple Ridge) is stable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Houston, be prepared for the culture shock. housing market is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

My experience has been mostly positive. it exceeded my expectations. The only thing I'd watch out for is food scene. Other than that, Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Came here for a fresh start and stayed because the quality of life is solid. The pet-friendliness is honestly average and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
