How is Vista for outdoor activities?

First post here. We're a young couple and Average temperature is around 60--F, so the weather is moderate. Poverty rate is 7.1%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Vista sits at 346.3 per 100K. With a population of 98,646, Vista is a smaller city. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. What do you all think?
