Life in Vista as a young professional

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a remote worker and Rent is about $2,148/month for a decent place. With a population of 98,646, Vista is a smaller city. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Let me know your thoughts. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Boston about 13 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Active local events and festivals

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Urban sprawl is real

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are reasonable, gas is average.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Good luck with whatever you decide..
