Working remotely from Vista — my experience
I've been working remotely from Vista for 11 years now. Here's my take:
The pace of life here is perfect for remote work. No crazy commute stress, affordable living, and enough amenities to not feel isolated.
Cost of living: a bit high but manageable
Internet: Decent, getting better with new providers
Coworking spaces: A few good ones downtown
If you're looking for a place to WFH, Vista is a solid choice.

For families, I'd recommend looking at Lakewood. Schools are rated well and it's quiet.

Can confirm the safety issue. But it really depends on the neighborhood. Westside and Cedar Hills are perfectly safe.

Weather is the biggest factor for us. Four seasons are nice, not too extreme either way.

If you can afford it, Highland Park is the best place to live. Period.
