Moving to Volo for work -advice?

The unemployment rate is 2.4%, which is pretty low. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. What do you all think? Any help is appreciated.

I've lived in Maple Ridge for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Boston, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Close to major attractions
- The school system scene is solid

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Rising rent and home prices

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for singles. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

The food scene here is average. Tons of great sushi places. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is traffic. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Worth doing your research before committing.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want cost of living, then yeah this place is great. But if traffic matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I'm a physical therapist and I've found I love the pace of life here. The community is underrated and there's always something going on.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a data analyst who relocated here from Seattle about 7 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Decent public transit for the size
- Lots of new development happening

Cons that are real:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are reasonable, gas is excellent.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Definitely worth checking out..
