So, I'm single, late 40s, and Median household income is $51,468, which feels on the lower side for the area. It's a a mid-size city city with about 142K people. Average temperature is around 71°F, so it's warm year-round. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. What do you all think? It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Tampa and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Riverside. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in tech you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like craft beer.

Hope this helps!.
