What to expect moving to Waco?

First post here. I'm retired and Median household income is $51,468, which feels on the lower side for the area. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to. Any advice would be great. Thanks for reading. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

The food scene here is better than expected. Tons of great Asian places. it's improved dramatically in recent years.
