Moving to Wade Hampton with kids -good idea?

Hey everyone, It's a a small town city with about 20,703 people. Rent is about $1,064/month for a decent place. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Am I overthinking this? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The food scene here is surprisingly good. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from New York and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Meadowbrook. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in government. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

Feel free to reach out with questions..
