Hi all, Household incomes average around $75,522 in Wade Hampton. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Thoughts? Looking forward to hearing from you all. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a accountant who relocated here from New York about 8 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and work.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Strong job market in several industries
- Four distinct seasons
Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Can feel isolated
Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are wild, gas is hit or miss.
Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Hope this helps!.
