Anyone else feel this way? Poverty rate is 16.0%, which is higher than I expected. Homes are going for about $716,800 on average. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

I've lived in Maple Ridge for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good schools in most areas
- The community vibe scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Limited shopping options

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for couples. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I genuinely enjoy living here. Internet is average in most areas.

We moved here with our family and I love the pace of life here. Schools in West area are tough. Kids love it here.

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The safety is hit or miss compared to other places I've lived. Overall Definitely worth checking out..

My experience has been mostly positive. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The only thing I'd watch out for is job market. Other than that, Would recommend to anyone considering it..
