Wahiawa quality of life -am I missing something?

Longtime lurker here, Homes are going for about $716,800 on average. The unemployment rate is 2.2%, which is pretty low. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Am I wrong here? Thanks in advance! I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'm a contractor and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The community is excellent and there's always something going on.

My experience has been mostly positive. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The only thing I'd watch out for is cost of living. Other than that, Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Boston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Uptown. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

Feel free to reach out with questions..
